Adrian Curiel currently serves as the Spirit Xpress West Co-Director of Dance.  Adrian brings a long history of formal training to his work at SXW, most important being his work with the Youth American Ballet Company and the Complexions Contemporary Ballet.  In addition, Adrian was a State Champion Varsity Cheerleader and Dancer his entire time in high school. Adrian is currently attending the University of Arizona majoring in Dance.

Adrian has a diverse background, having studied contemporary dance, lyrical, ballet, jazz, musical theatre, ballroom, hip-hop and ballet partnering for more than eight years. This formal experience combined with a deep love of dance, the desire to share this knowledge with students and the drive to develop champions has led Adrian to achieve significant success in choreographing championship routines.

Adrian continues to compete and has won first overall soloist at a number of dance competitions. He competed on “So You think You Can Dance” and advanced beyond the audition phase. This experience led Adrian to the belief that winning is a product of hard work and he works everyday to instill this in all of his dancers.

Adrian is from Globe Arizona, and practices his craft at Power Elite Dance Academy where he dances and coaches, he is an assistant coach of the Globe High School Cheer program and volunteers his time with other cheer and dance programs in Arizona in his spare time, and works as a model for the Tenth House Elite Dancewear catalogue.
